As our founder Karen, or KDS to most, is the one who sets the culture and standards around here.   The people are always at the heart of everything we do at Proficient-ly and this drives our work with our clients.

KDS wrote our award winning Growth Framework in 2009 with the sole aim of providing real revenue growth to all Proficient-ly clients.   Since then this powerful business growth tool has been applied to over 400 businesses with transformational results.

Karen has built a team of growth experts around her to help implement these world class customer and employee journeys.  By making sure best practice is applied to every business, we build successful businesses with happy clients and thriving employees.

Karen is obsessed with cats and dance music and is lucky enough to call Majorca home.

Emma Kersey

Emma has worked with KDS since 2014 and is the driving force behind the people development, both for Proficient-ly and our clients. She is the champion for both our client experience and our business values.

As well as being an experienced sales person and sales manager,  Emma is a qualified coach and trainer and, most importantly, one of the UK’s only experts in the Growth Framework. 

Emma works alongside our clients to shape and deliver growth programmes that drive real revenue increases.

Emma works side by side with KDS to shape Proficient-ly and the businesses of our clients, and thanks to Emma hundreds of businesses have seen significant increases in revenue.

Chloe heads up every element of client delivery and process at Proficient-ly.  She supports every one of the Proficient-ly team to deliver the consistently high results that we demand.

Rob is one of Proficient-ly’s leading training and coaching facilitators.  He has 30 years of experience working closely with clients to design and deliver tailored programmes using experiential techniques that encourage delegates to think for themselves and ensure sustainable behaviour change.

Rob has had a passion for helping people grow throughout his career as a Leadership and Management specialist.

Rob not only works with your front line staff to ensure they master the most effective communication techniques available but also works with leaders to embed these techniques. Rob’s sessions with Managers and Leaders use fascinating discussion and they link to many of the most popular management models and techniques. His coaching style always ensures a clear understanding of how to apply the learning immediately back into the role, as well as understanding the theory, whether that be applying coaching skills and techniques, conducting effective 121’s or have difficult conversations with staff.

Tamsen Garrie          Certified Business Strategist, Facilitator, Trainer, Mentor, & Coach

As a leader, facilitator and coach, Tamsen supports businesses to develop a culture that ultimately promotes and maximises people wellbeing, not because it’s good to be nicer to people, but because it makes commercial sense to maximise people contribution: enabling them to build strong relationships, deal with issues effectively, problem-solve creatively, and make better decisions, all of which are key to creating sustainable results. She calls this process ‘The Culture Way’.

With a proven track record in enabling businesses to create and implement the vision, culture, leadership team, processes, systems and training to both grow and scale sustainably, Tamsen is also known for her rounded skillset, with both left and right brain thinking, hard and soft skills and strategic and tactical approach.

Tamsen is most energised when talking about the importance of alignment in the achievement of outcomes: whether that’s alignment between what’s going on in our heads and what we’re doing as an individuals, or alignment between the business owners vision and the beliefs, values and behaviours of the leaders and team.
